I am so incensed tonight that I had to come on here and vent. I already wrote a scathing message to CNN news about this. It absolutely made me sick:
I started watching the news on CNN and about 5 minutes into the newscast, after talking about the two American pilots who were taken prisoner after their helicopter was shot down, they said they were going to show the videotape of the pilots to one of the families of the men. Why? JUST TO GET THEIR REACTION. And, unbelievably, this is exactly what they proceeded to do. Some reporter had a laptop set up and she started the videotape, then they panned over to the people sitting behind her. Obviously a father, perhaps some sisters, I don't know who else because I was so furious that I turned the TV off. The father looked right at the camera with a kind of shell-shocked look of uncertainty like he wished he could change his mind about this whole setup. One girl had her bowed in her lap. The caption read something like "family reacts to seeing videotape of POW pilot."
I can't understand how anyone could have so little human decency left in them that they could film such a display, let alone broadcast it. I am so disgusted.
